It all started when I thought I was having dead or dying battery issues. My 88B2 died on the highway. I got a jumpstart from one of those state-contracted tow trucks (no charge). Ever since when I use my rear window defrost it blows the fuses for the turn signal, emergency flashers and the rear window defrost. The original problem was fixed when I replaced the negative cable from my battery to my block. But I cannot figure out the fuse blowing issue. The only thing I can figure is the tow truck had so much power it found whatever circuit it could in order to finish the circuit to the starter. kind of like the Borg rerouting to by pass a bad circuit. I know Star Trek reference, I'm no Trekkie, but it reminds me of that episode. Anyone have any ideas?

If the fuse blows when you turn on the rear window defogger, then it sounds like a short in the rear defogger circuit, rather than in the turn signals and flashers. Power to the grid on the glass is through a fusible link, so if you're popping the fuse when you hit the defogger switch chances are that the problem is in the switch itself.

Sounds to me like you have a short to ground in that circuit. Time to get a schematic and start tracing wires.
