Turn signal flasher?

Just picked up my '90 ranger today and the right and left blinkers don't blink, but stay on solid. The hazards work however. I found the hazard relay flasher thing in the fuse panel but I can't find the Turn signal flasher anywhere.

Q: Where is the turn signal flasher located, so that I can diagnose and if not fix then rig this thing up?

So according to the parts diagram on LMC truck the Hazard flasher and the turn signal flasher are the same P.N. # 47-0605. So I just need to locate it and swap it with the hazard flasher and BINGO.

Look for it clipped under the dash around the fuse panel or steering column. I allways get a good electronic flasher if your running trailer lights it wont fry the flasher.

The units should be in the same relative location but if the second flasher unit is not located next to your hazard flasher, check behind the kick panel. I've seen them behind there on Explorers before.

on my 94 ranger the hazard flasher is on the top side of the fuse panel mirrored location to the blinker flasher

In the 83-92 systems the hazard and turn signal flashers are both in the fuse block under the dash. One is on the front, easily visible and accessible. The other is on the back side of the fuse block.

Is there any way to test the flashers to see if they are in good working order? Mine is the square blue one found in the '96 part#F4ZB-13350-BB

Any time my flashers stayed on without blinking it was due to a burned out bulb...I don't remember ever changing the flasher module in the fuse panel...but...14 years of ownership is a long time...

Check that the bulbs aren't burned out...change one and see if that is the problem...always good to have a spare bulb anyway...
