the storm that is coming in the middleast has been brewing for decades, just glad i'm not draft age.

Lucky you. I am, and I will.

when i was 18 i was involved with evacuation of vietnam(operation frequent wind) and remained a cold war warrior through the iran hostage crisis,4 tours of persian gulf.my time is over, but i support those who wield the tip of the sword now,100%.

They were playing some clips from a pirate radio show called "Radio First Termer" from Vietnam..had a bit called "from the latrine walls"..put it perfectly. "Fighting for someone elses freedom is like fucking for someone elses virginity". I say let them kill eachother, we need to start worrying about ourselves.

if only it were that simple.the middle east has the potential to become all out world war, sucking everyone in,disrupting trade, killing millions and just forever altering life as we know it.do we need to send millions of americans off to fight and die again,or are we going to SEE THIS THING THROUGH.we have an obligation here,we started it and we need to finnish it!if we run from terrorists now, because it is unpopular,we need not challenge anybody again, frankly they would die laughing anyway.get it done!then come home, with their heads held high.our troops haven't quit and niether should we.

That may be true but I just don't see this war lasting long once the new president is in office, but I can see it being a mess once they do whatever they do.

amen brother.i hope obama is ready for prime time and dealing with some tough world leaders.last junior senator damn near wet his pants the first time he came up against kruchev and later admitted that he got played like a fiddle.iirc that was a meeting before the cuba missile crisis.

Americans are so hypocritical, Ron Paul voted against the Iraq war, Ron Paul was the only canidate that voted against that war, and Ron Paul has no chance of winning.

If Americans are so smart, and if Americans agree that we should not have gone to Iraq, a unjust war, then sounds to me the idiots need to get their priorities straight, instead of voting for canidates that voted FOR the war, and have said they support the war.:icon_hornsup:

..and yet the serious issues are not being challenged, like paying off the national debt, and all debts. This "economy stimulus" B.S. Bush is throwing around, giving Americans borrowed money, that will have to be paid back, with intrest.
