Turkey Bay Wheelin Trip Sept 12-13

For those that are intimidated, don't look at my truck, look at Railman's...He has been on every trail I have been on, and he is at stock height with no damage, there are several passes down each trail, I just go for the big extreme obstacles to try and break stuff to give me a reason to upgrade...In the planning stages is a full exo-cage, getting ready to start building front and rear bumpers....

***UPDATE***I just got my D44 8 lug axle home:yahoo::yahoo:Time to start building the SAS!!! Pics to come:yahoo::headbang::icon_hornsup:

I thought this was your trail rig, not a 37in IROC 12in lift daily driver :icon_rofl:

Frank

Frank, of course its my daily!!! Who puts a lightbar on their truck to go wheelin?? Well, I would, but thats besides the point...I was lookin for another rig to turn into my trail rig, but I think I will be lookin for another rig for a daily driver, but then I'd have to build that to tow my trail rig, and then I'd have to....:icon_idea:

Okay members, time to plan our next Turkey Bay wheelin trip!!!
We are possibly looking at Oct 2, 3, and 4 (Friday night, sat and sun mornin), this last run was a good trip and camping was a good success, so we are going to plan on meeting up and camping friday night, and wheelin sat and sun...Post up if this is a good time for you, its 2.5 weeks away, we are trying to get as many as possible to go, we want a big turnout, as its more fun with more members...If ya'll can't make it, we may move it into begginging of November as I believe other members are planning a trip around mid October...Let me know :icon_thumby:

Turkey Bay is the name of the OHV park in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation area in Western Kentucky/Northwest Tenn. (close to Hopkinsville, KY and Clarksville, TN (Fort Campbell)

it features 100+ miles of trails, and is open for 4x4's, ATV's, and Dirtbikes

the trails are designated under 3 types: Yellow is for stock/fullsize, Orange is for smaller vehicles (jeeps and Ranger size) with few modifications, and Blue is for Atv's/dirtbikes or vehicles where space allows (where the distance between the trees dictates passage)

It'll be a run for you, this is the address to the north welcome center, the OHV area about about 5 minutes away. Depending on how you drive, it'll take you about 8 hrs, but well worth it if you make a weekend out of it....

I know, I was serious, there were two ravines I laid my truck on its side, the first I got lucky and no damage, this trip I did have damage...I like a good challenge as well...Save your pennies, I'm sure we will have trips planned throughout the year...:icon_thumby:
