Turkey Bay 3-27-10

damn auto's.....

Damn them all straight to hell.

Frank

B2 is getting gone.
Looking for a 4cyl 4wd 5spd ranger now. Just a cheaper rig to kick the living crap out of, throw on some big tires and take a plasma cutter to all the excess fat on it.

I would give my left nut to see Pearl Jam!

unless you're done using them, that is not at all worth the trade. you should at least get some backstage passes, an autographed poster and article of clothing worn by a band member during the show

Hey Jon, whats the plans for the B2??
SVT

not really sure...there may end up a ranger cab on the b2 frame with a tube bed

Sweet, can I call dibs on the B2 body??

Okay, to all that plan to attend our wheeling trip on April 17, I just found out some information on that day in Turkey Bay. Copied from Bluegrass4x4.org

I copied this from itsajeep.org

All,

I thought I had made this annoucement already but after thumbing through the previous threads (and with a few reminders from several loyal jeepers) I realized I hadn't. Nonetheless, I do have a trail workday scheduled for Saturday, April 17, weather dependent of course. The tasks I had planned for the day include:

1. Kid's Trail Improvements (securing fence posts and rails, treadwork, etc)
2. Install new fence up at wildlife ponds
3. Campground cleanup
4. General litter pickup at several rider congregation areas on the trails.
5. Downed tree removal
6. Anything I've missed??????

All particpants should meet at the gatehouse at 9 a.m. for safety briefing and duty assignement. The day will conclude around 3 p.m. with prize giveaways at the gatehouse.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks!

Kyle

Kyle is a member of itsajeep and BG4x4, but he is also a park ranger that works out at TB. I believe admission is free to the people that attend work detail. I realize this is not for everyone, and some or TRS members have different opinions of certain clubs, but for the good of preserving a great place to wheel, I'm up for this attendance. Anyone else interested?? I'm pretty sure I can include Brandizzle and Railman without asking them, but post up so we can get a head count

well i will not be able to attend the ride on april 17th....our district is short on people and we had someone walk out to we are pretty much screwed for the next 2 weeks untill we can get someone in there

Doesn't look lke anyone is interested in going, Railman can't make it, Brandizzle can't make it, and I have a company picnic to attend, so maybe we will plan the next trip sometime in May...
SVT

yea i wont be able to make it...have to catch up on bills...

I can't make it.... training in on a new job in my off time at work. 14hrs days for now though. but as soon as i free up I'm buying a stock truck and tossing on mudders. been saving a while to do something like that.
