I would agree with other comments though, Unless you are good fabricator, have a bunch of spare parts, and don't mind used junk that might not work, 1000 ain't much to work with.

What turbo do you all recommend for my 2002 ford ranger edge.

Might start with a Garrett T25, originally designed 30 years ago to work with a GM 3.1, right size for the Vulcan v6.
