Turbo?

No sir, I have an 88 ranger block, with a 2000 2.5 crank rods and pistons in it. It is a straight drop in. I used 2.5 main bearings, and a set of 2.3 rod bearings from an old large main journal rebuild kit I still had laying around. And you can stroke a 2.3 crank to a 2.5, because you only have to change the ofset by 3.5 mm to get a 7mm stroke increase.

The stock rod bearing size is 2.048 on all of them, its in this forum even, check out the sticky lima family thread on here. Its there. And yes, you have to weld it, people have been doing that for 50 years. It can still be done.
