anyone have issues with a 2.3 turbo swap that sounds anything like this... I installed a 89 t bird tc motor /trans and comp into a 93 ranger 3.0 auto and am having diffaculty with a flutter/ bog on boost around 8-10 psi (sort of like a jake brake noise and kills power?

sorry , i didnt put last post in forced induction forum im new with chat rooms

Sounds like you are getting bad compresser surge.

Does it have BOV (blow off valve) or bypass valve.

Fix it quick... otheriwise your turbo bearings will take a beating.

Is the surge at WOT??? or is it only when you let off the gas?

sounds like either the bov or the waste gate aren't opening maybe try and see if you have a vac leak somewhere

also could be other things like a missfire. check all your ignition components.

your getting the proper amount of fuel to it? what ecu/tuning system are you using?
