Hey guys would it be possible to take the Turbo off of a powerstroke and turn it down to reasonable amount of boost that a 2.9 could handle?

You don't "turn a turbo down". Boost is controlled by a wastegate. We need wheel measurements to determine if it's a suitable turbo.

I knew this guy once. Put a Cummins turbo on his Mazda 2.3 and popped the caps of all his head bolts.

Why did you capitalize turbo and not Powerstroke?

Scratch that idea.....

I thought there was a volume knob on the side.

yeah, i hear the 2.9L has too much exhaust for even the 9.8L powerstroke, and it will overspool the turbo, burn the bearings out almost immediately and just make it self destruct...

might want to be careful trying this
