Wheelie bar on a fwd drag car is easy. Front wheel drive has massive traction issues compared to rear wheel drive, as the weight transfer to the back gives less traction to the front wheels as the front end comes up. With a wheelie bar, the cars weight transfer is stopped (I'm so using the wrong term, but I'm tired) and the car is forced not to lift up on the front end, providing more traction.

As for the wing... A properly tuned one will help keep you planted, but just hucking one on there from jc whitney or extreme dimensions will just look stupid and adversely affect performance.

I would never run some big ass wing like that... I'll pry end up taking the lil factory one off my car one of these days.

haha that reminds me of when some stupid ricer kid in a coffee can exhausted neon tried to over take me down a 2 lane road. i just gave it slightly more gas in my FX4 and stayed right next to him as he kept red lineing it LOL. but i knew the street and there was a nice right turn ahead that is always covered in gravel needless to say his shitty STOCK tires couldnt hold traction and he went sliding sideways through a feild barely missing a few poles and fire hydrant

I got my revenge in high school. I bought my Ranger brand new my senior year (yea, I know, now everyone realizes just how young I am, lol). I was practically sick the first day I drove it to school... despite being new it was pretty much the only thing worth less than $30k in the lot. Lots of Lexus, BMW, etc. But then The Fast and the Furious came out and many of those idiots insisted that they trade the car mommy and daddy bought for them to get a black civic and trick it out....

Problem was, I rapidly discovered that my stock Ranger would beat them off the line and into 4th gear every time. Their poor egos...

Then after HS, I put a set of subs in my Ranger... wired them into the stock stereo and all with a 200 watt single channel amp. Oddly enough I was louder and clearer than most others, and I heard a lot of kids bragging that they spent a couple grand on their stereo... I think the local car audio shop that opened up was just interested in parting idiots and their money.

I had a lot of fun playing with ricers in my Ranger up until one night I made a mistake. Car pulled up next to me, from the headlight configuration an all I had guessed that it was some ricer or other and he's revving at the light. Whatever. Long straight stretch of 4 lane with a 50 mph speed limit and I had the timing of the light down cold. I was moving as the light turned green.... and all I saw of the car was taillights disappearing over the horizon. As it flashed in front of me I saw my mistake... 3000gt TwinTurbo. Yep, forgot there was one of those running around driven by someone who knew how to do it, lol.

Now I don't bother with trying to race off at lights. Besides, the mighty 300 in my work truck isn't very fast, lol. But I might be tempted to get on it once in awhile if I get the one motor I'm looking for for my dump truck... rebuilt 460 with zero miles... it was bored over and has performance heads.... it'd go in a 94 F-350....

lol, depends on how fast you are on the trigger.

.50 BMG might be more appropriate... those dinky 9mm rounds arn't worth much.

actually you would be surprised at how the wing affects the car , my buddy has one on his Neon ( his car is a tuner style car , but it is tastefully done , and yes the engine is heavily modded ) , when he first put the wing on he put the vanes in upside down ( 2 teir spoiler ) and the car would get squirrely around 70 MPH , he did it the right and the car stays planted. I believe the spoilers serve some purpose , but i am unsure of what. Kinda Like the Wheelie Bar on the 800HP FWD Dodge Shelby Charger.

what happened when he put the wing on upside down is rather then creating down force the wing created lift, and was unloading the rear suspension. they do make aird dams and spoilers that are truly functional for the tuner group but they look really stupid, really expensive, fully adjustable, and are 99% of the time they are set up 100% wrong. they dont create enough downforce to do anything more then keep the front end planted.

so im sittin at a redlight last night and i hear sumthing behind me, sounded like a fart can, so i was like wut ever.... i leave the light, cruisin along and here comes ricer fag in a cavalier...... fart can and shiny wheels.... so i say hell no and drop a gear and go around the guy in front of me and stay right on the cavys ass till we hit 2 lane..... then he throws on the blinker and all went to hell as my hopes of crushing ricer ass in my stock 2.3 wer crushed..... but i still have the thought that i was on his ass the whole time his riced out cavy was winding out gears

All you guys gotta do is put a high output V8 in your rangers and all will be well. I'm doing a cam swap right now which should push it to 300+ horses.

But my favorite toy(s) are the electric exhaust dumps. They start reving the bumble bee with their window down, all that they'll get out of me is a ringing sensation for a couple seconds.......
