i just started making some tube doors today. i still have to weld them to the hinge pieces and come up with a latch. and I'm also considering adding one more tube and would like your opinion on adding another tube or leave them as is. and one more thing either paint them with spray on bedliner, or do the extra clean up work and paint them red?

Haha, I was gonna tell you to put a tube going across there and then I scroll down and you were thinking the same thing. I'm thinking either there, or halfway down the bottom half of the diagonal piece going horizontal across that empty space.

And I would go with bed liner, too much red if you paint it red.

I like them.

If you were to add another bar, where would it be?
I'd have to see where the other bar would be, but I think you should add another one. Or maybe put sheet metal over one of both of the gaps/ holes. I think that would look good too. The you wouldn't really need to add the other bar.

EDIT: I didn't notice the last picture. I defentally think you should add the other bar in there!

some people use gate latchs for tube doors there are a few websites out there showing how to fab a set up
