Picked up the sept issue of Off-Road. There is a article of a Ranger build up. They are grafting TTB D44 housing end and knuckle to the TTB D35 beams. They see a problem with mounting the D44 knuckles to the D35 housing, something about tearing up the ball joint boots??
Did a search of their website http://www.off-roadweb.com/ but didn't find anything.

Comments ??? Think it would be worth the effort ??

for all the effort, I'd just bolt a TTB D44 in the stock pivot holes, trim the each of the middle slip shafts and be done with it. Far less screwing around

The story describes by doing so and adding 5" to each side, they can use a stock TTB D44 rt axle. The left side uses a custom shaft from Currie Enterprises that is 5" longer than a stock D35.

Sounds like a lot of work and expensive.
