I recently put extended brake lines [off a 250 4x4] on my 90 ranger but they where rubbing the tire when turned lock to lock. So I zip tied them out the way. Yet, I am worried of them worming into the coil and getting pinched. So its a rock and a hard place.

What did you all rig up to keep them off the tire and out the spring? I am thinking some kind of blocking plate over two winds of the coil may work; not sure how to fasten it all so the fascining doesn't feed the line into the coil.

I'm driving it very slowly for now with lots of space and reaction time for a lock up/ brake loss

soft lines to the beams or radius arms...with hardline along the beam or radius arm to the factory soft lines. big dangly lines suk.

that or some drop brackets made from 1 in strap with e350 lines.

That seems a bit involved and pricey. This is what i have. It's not supper dangly and it just needs a mount to be ok

that is the worst way to do that. borders dangerous. as a temporary solution for road use to get by, its worth it i guess..

the line can be pinched and or broken/failed from the spring crushing it. of course a small bar or rod bracket, to zip tie it to would certainly keep it out of the spring.

the longer the line, the more likely to have an issue.

relocation within the suspensions travel range is ideal....equally cost effective and not dangerous.

Its rubbing when you turn all the way to one side?

Get a larger hose, slice it and fit it over the brake hose, make it look "beefy", lol, wire tie it at the middle and ends

Zip tying it to the coil spring has always worked for me... I guess maybe it depends on the spring (number of winds/wind closeness) whether it can compress far enough that it could pinch the line if it got in between there. I've never seen any damage from such happening on mine.

FWIW, my hoses are from Skyjacker (not F-250 pieces).

Relocating the line's mounting point lower (and using a shorter hose) can certainly work good too.
