Alright been doing some searching and not a lot has come up.

I have the skyjacker 6" Lift. I also have the FA600 drop pitman arm installed. Not crazy about the angle of the steering. Plus the Joint that connect the two rods hits the rear most rod at sharp turns. How is the pitman arm supposed to be situated? Anybody have pictures with this setup. Also, my steering wheel is almost 180 degrees off if that helps.

6" ttb lift

well as a starting point you could take it into an alignment shop and have the monkeys (mechanics) take off the pitman arm and then align the wheels. Then center the steering wheel and re-install the pitman arm. go test it in the parking lot and go from there.

Basically once you get past about 4" of lift, your gonna want to ditch the stock steering setup. There is a really good write-up on here somewhere with some good info in it.

I will try and grab some better ones tomorrow.

Your steering is actually near ideal. It is almost flat. Can you add some weight like a winch or a bumper to lower it down some and make them more flat...It isn't perfect, but it is far better than most that I have seen...

Are you saying the drag link hits the passenger side rod like this:

The steering angle looks dang good for a 6" lift.. Unless yours getting bumpsteer I wouldn't fool with it

Agreed. Looks better than mine ever was and I had no problems with mine.

I think that picture made the angle look much better than it really is.

Here is where the rubbing/contact is.

Your first pic shows it from a bit above, the 2nd, is below. A dead-on shot (like Sasquatch's) would better show the angle.

I agree though, once you're over 4" of lift, the steering starts getting much harder to deal with. K-link setups seem to offer the best performance overall (without getting into complex crossover setups anyway), however any K-link setup is gonna take a bit of custom work (even Superlift's Superrunner steering kit isn't aligned correctly out of the box, the centerlink will need to be cut & lowered on it for it to work correctly).

I've seen where certain combinations of aftermarket linkage parts can cause the rubbing issue on your current linkage (the FA600 arm does bring the linkage rearward slightly). What worked for a couple others was making sure all the linkage parts were of the same brand, though I haven't personally checked into how much variation there is between them.
If the rubbing is slight, you might be able to grind a little off the edge of the joint and gain maybe 1/8" or so clearance without affecting anything.

FWIW, this is the FA600 arm with 4" lift, and is right about perfect as far as the linkage angle goes. Unfortunately I don't know what brand linkage is on that truck (or if it's OEM still).
