I just found this TSB on reverse bleeding a clutch by PUMPING THE SLAVE with a pry bar. There's more to it than that - watch the video.

Anybody every try this? It totally makes sense, and looks WAY easier than the bench bleed method. I haven't tried the "Slam" method or the suction method, but wanted to get this out there cause I know first hand what a pain this thing is to bleed.

You think I'm gonna be messing around with a pry bar on a brand new slave and clutch set up ? You crazy! Gravity bleeding is sooo easy if you do it right. You have to have the MC loose to do it easily. I bench bleed the master too .

I dunno, sounds better than what I was gonna try today.

I was gonna fill the catch bottle for my vac pump with fluid, stick the pick-up tube in it, and then open the bleeder and the reservoir and try to blow fluid up through the system to push the bubble out.

Hahaha go big or go home. I'm gonna try it next time. Bench bleeding bites - why take the whole thing out if you don't have to - and this reverse bleed makes total sense.

Gravity bleeding? If that's where you unbolt the master and elevate the tubing end, that might work if you have nothing better to do one afternoon ;)

No, gravity bleeding is where you loosen the bleeder and the reservoir cap and let the fluid run out. Fluid at the top pushes air down the line as well, but it doesn't work if you have air at the top of the MC.

...so a gravity bleed is worthless if you have air in your MC, which is pretty much always the case if you're having to bleed. Like I told Andy D, this sounds worth a try to me. Lemme know if you give it a shot, adsm08.
