I recently purchased a set of Ranger rims and tires that came off of a 2008 Ranger 4 wheel drive. My intent was to put them on my son's 97 XL 4 wheel drive. The rear rims fit just fine but the front center knock out holes are to small to allow the 4x4 hub (automatic) to pass through.
Is there any way I can get these to fit?
Is there a smaller hub available?
Can I grind them out with out compromising the strength of the alum wheel?
Any and all help would be much appreciated as I would really like to use these rims and tires.
Thanks!

You will have to get all four drilled out if you want to be able to rotate your tires, and get them machined to hold a centercap of some sort if you are concerned about looks.

I've always felt that it's never a good idea to modify wheels in any way, particularly aluminum ones. Sure, you might get get them bored out at a machine shop and be fine, but if one were to crack while on the highway... Not worth the risk in my opinion.
