Trusted Transmission Shop in Oregon City

I am looking for a transmission shop that someone has used in the past and trusts. I am in the Oregon City are but will go anywhere in the greater Portland area. Let me know what you have.

I haven't used them other than buying parts but I think they do work on stuff but Transmission Exchange by the rose garden or whatever it's called now... Other than that I trust my friend that works at a shop in Salem but that might be a bit of a drive but if you're up for it it's Auto Team service center by the Salem Airport

Does your friend do side work, or should I call the shop?

He does, if you pull and drain the trans I'm sure I could work something out, I work in Tualatin and might be able to help you out on transport too... I can pretty much tell you now that he's going to be busy for a bit, camping trips two of next 3 weekends...

That’s fine with me. It’s the start of race season in 2 weeks for me. I’m in no rush. This is a project truck for me.

I'll run it by him this weekend, he's been doing general mechanic work and transmissions for around 20 years including working at a couple transmission shops so he knows some tricks that people at Aamco and whatnot don't do... He's a chevy and toyota guy but will work on Ford's , hasn't said too many bad things about the A4LD variants other than for whatever reason doesn't like the 5R55? probably just put behind too much engine...
