Truckspotters

Nobody posted in on the RRORC page unless I missed them. Figured we'd get a few there. Is BFE everything it's cut out to be?

Mike took an ass whooping on smashing pumpkins even in his ultra 4 car....Madisyn said her fave was helldorado and Brittany Spears.....the pic I posted was helldorado.

It is a true priveledge to be able to wheel in there and highly appreciated.

I took some pics of some overlanding rigs and new broncos...but can not find them on my phone. One of the broncos was tricked out like Jim did the loan ranger with a roof tent critter.... pretty bummed I can't find it.

That's not as dumb as it sounds - power the tractor from batteries up hill and charge them from the generator going back down. :icon_twisted:

I have a truck that does that....

They were in area BFE....
So, where is BFE?

I am familiar with the general term "Bum F___ Egypt" and have felt like I've been there a few times. But I get the sense that you are talking about some other place.

Base Flood Elevation...

It’s a computed estimation of how high a flood will be, but I don’t see any water in those pics.

The entrance to smashing pumpkins is no joke. The ledge itself looks tough but that drop off on the driver's side would make me pucker hard. you didn't run black flag did you?

Helldorado is in Area BFE. It has some of the best trails in all of Moab from what I can tell. Really difficult technical crawling

edit - here's a bunch of red dot cars on black flag

OOOOOHHHH I get it. "Smashing Pumpkins"... you know, because some people call the rear diff a "pumpkin" and the trails could possibly "smash" one. clever.

Although, my family in North Carolina looked at me funny when I called it a pumpkin, they seem to call it "the Hog's head"

We call em pumpkins up here in maine. I've heard hogs head as well, from more southern folks iirc.

I tell ya, I'm fascinated by regional car part lingo differences. Should write a book about it, probably.

Hogs head is kinda based on axles like the 9" with a removable center section. The loose center section kinda looks like a hogs head.

Aftermarket case with two bolts located in the place of eyes for bonus points...

I'm in Florida but I don't think we're "more southern" than North Carolina. If you know what I mean.

I had to check if we were in the tailgate or not before I replied lol.

Good thing I did.

Cause we're not in the tailgate.

Making @sgtsandman and @ericbphoto proud lol

With the folks I wheel with we say diff for the most part

Steps do not make good rock sliders.

there was also a hood chunk of the rear driver side bedside missing.

whatever they were doing it must have been fun.
