The Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth mini van did revolutionize the market. Different manufacturers tried to do it different but the format Chrysler came up with was the only one that worked well.

Ford actually had the idea first...ioaccoa (sp?) Took it to chrysler with him. Fords idea was a scaled down E-van with an available 460.

Damn to bad it didnt come about.

Sorta... was ahead of its time and too radical. The minivan was easy as hell to sell on the utility factor. Those sliding doors, man.

I cant wait to see the first crossover that has one. 🙄

Fullsize vans had sliding doors since the 60s.....i think they called them "curbside loaders" or something.

Nissan was the first to have sliding doors on both sides. I think it was called the Stanza. We had one for a good while. We called it the “hit van” because you could pick the side of the street you wanted to strafe.

Seen this for sale near me. Trying to get my buddy to buy it. But he’s cheap and just drives my Ranger.
