Truck won't move.

Need help, daughter was driving my driving my truck on the freeway heard a loud bang and then coasted to stop. Truck rolls, I can start it put in in gear and stand next to it while it's running. Clutch peddle has good pressure. I hear nothing other then a ticking noise that wasn't there before. When you push it I hear some sound; but can't make out what it is. It's a 98 4X4 Super Cab.

Not being familiar with the 4x4 I'm guessing the input shaft in the tranny snapped.

Update; did some looking and found the front yoke is broken and case between transfer case and trans is cracked from top to bottom. It's a Mazda R1 trans anyone have parts they want to sell?

the transmission extension housing cracked?

And the front yoke on the rear driveshaft broke?


That sounds to me like you need some serious help, not only does it look like your T-case died
but it looks sounds like it took the trans with it.

truck won't move

The tailshaft spins when I start it and put it in gear. I think what happend. I just changed the u-jouints a week before, one of the lock rings may have came out let the cap work loose and then coming apart. The driveshaft was bouncing around and hit the transfercase and cracked the housing in front of it.
