I was just wondering this... how much weight does 4wd add to a Ranger? Also, how about supercab vs. a regular cab Ranger?

well, i can only tell you what mine weighs, '93 supercab 4x4 ranger, 4.0 manual trans, cap, grille guard, trailer hitch, step bars. 4,300 pounds. if you live near a farm elevator you can run across the scales and get a weight, the one near me never turns theirs off, i can go over after hours and simply look through the window at the ditgital display that sits on the desk.

Full load excab bone stock was 4200 lbs
Bare bones reg cab long bed stock was 3400 lbs

Both 4.0L 5 speed 4wds.

I had my Ranger (2.3, 4x4, 5-speed, regular cab, shortbed) on a scale at the local transfer station a while ago and it tipped the scales (with me and a 1/2 tank of fuel in it) at about 3500 lbs.
