truck stops running after twenty minutes of running

i just got a 1987 4x4 4cylinder 5spd ranger, after its been running for about 20 minutes it shuts off and wont start up for 30 minutes to an hour. i've replaced the ignition module on the distributor, the coil, and it still has fuel pressure. it just stops firing does anyone have an idea on what i should do next

Normally yes the module will give you those symptoms. Is the engine getting too hot you can try mounting the module on a heat sync off to the side it takes just three wires and a good heat sync say out of a computer CPU. If it stays running then heat is the culpret.

it didnt work but i set it up anyway and it was the stator in the distributor if anyone else runs into that headache
