Truck shopping

Bad news... went by the lot today and it appears the Edge has been sold.
But some good news... have my eye on a one owner '02 white extended cab 4x4 with only about 80,000 on it, and a black '00 extended cab 4x4 with only 94,832 on it. White one is going for about $10,000 and the black one only $6900.

try some junk yards, they usually have the working vehicles out front, the good ones (the gold mines per say), just stock pile working cars and broken cars until their yard is filled and put an "open> enter at risk" sign.

id start lookin at private sellers(ebay,craigslist, auto trader) and get a loan through your banks so u dont get ripped. that way you get exactly what you want and and at a better price. a private seller usually wants to just get rid of the vehicle while the dealer has to rack up the price to pay the cost of the employees.

just be patient!

being an exclusively white ranger owner myself, (three of them), normally i'd say go for the white one, but i do NOT like the high price for it. the black flareside is very good looking truck though and i love me some flaresidessssss

Well look what the truck fairy dropped in my driveway this evening... i don't care that i'll be 30 when she's finally paid off, at least I am happy.

Hopefully this one will give me over 500,000 miles of enjoyment like Barney has been for the past 7 years.

I am 25 right now, it will take 48 months (4 years) for her to finally be all mine. I will be 29 when that magic day happens!

And thank you for the compliment. Feel like a million bucks just driving her.

And forgot to add, Barney is for sale. Asking 1000 at the moment. Solid truck, but is going to need either a gearbox or rear end, as it is quite noisy. Dad says it's the rear end, I say it's the tranny, and it's getting a little hard to shift. I guess after over 500,000 miles i'd be getting tired too! Plus it is going to need cab mounts (they are rusted out) and bushings.
She has 527,xxx original miles on her right now.
