Ok guys so i finally got my BII Monday. 1990 Red with Gray int. 5spd man. 2.9V6

So when im driving there is a loud squealing noise and then when i press the clutch in, the squealing quiets down and goes away... but comes back when i let out of the clutch. This only happens when driving, not when at idle. Also, when i take off (every now and then) it will sound like i am shaking bolts in a metal container all through first gear. What is going wrong? Thanks guys.

I will post a video tomorrow of it if im able to get out and get it done.

EDIT: Also, the gas, temp, oil, and battery gauges dont work... When driving, the gas and temp gauges are off, but then when i turn the truck off, they cut on (but aren't accurate). Why is it doing this? My battery dies if left for a long period of time, could this be why?

EDIT#2: Sorry, i see now that the gas and temp gauges dont run off the battery.

Oh you bought yourself a project. Time to hit up the junk yard man. Look for a trans, a dash harness, and some cool seats.

That sounds like a throw out bearing to me. It is a $20 part but to get to it the tranny comes out. Might as well replace the whole clutch.

Yeah pretty much lol. I think its my throwout bearing. And the cluth slips..... like you guys told me the 2.9 and 5spd's were bad about. And I do plan on getting some new seats.... cadillac seats;) hahahaha. I've already installed a stereo. Pioneer head unit two 6x9's and two 6 1/2's. I was told that the 6x9's wouldn't fit.... I made them:) but yeah my grandpa has told me that when this engine and tranny goes out, he will get em rebuilt, so now I'm in the process of talking him into going the 4.0 route.
