truck just shut off

My 94 ford Ranger just shut off while I was driving down the road. I changed the coil. but the coil seems it is not getting any spark..Any ideas??
 
Loose or broken wire somewhere...need to test it to the coil...main power feed...

Do the lights/horn/ejector seats work?
 
yes the horn/lights/ejector seat works!! Could it be the ignition module!!

My Saturn was doing this last night. It just died while driving. Turn the key it turns on. Then the lights and stuff started shutting off. Was just the positive cable not tight enough.

What engine is in the '94?

Spark is started when crankshaft is detected as moving by the CKP(crank position) sensor.
It is an important sensor as there is no spark and no fuel without it working.
But CKP sensors rarely fail, not never, it just would not be the place to start, outside of checking to make sure connector on CKP sensor is clean and tight.
CKP is located behind the crankshaft pulley, but easy to see on most engines.

If CKP connector looks OK I would open the engine fuse box and start checking fuses, pull each one out, one at a time and look at it, test it if you have an OHM meter.
If all fuses are OK then I would test the coil for voltage, with key on the EEC Relay closes and provides 12volts to the coil.
Test if coil is getting 12v by unplugging connector and use a volt meter(or test light), it will be one wire with 12v, the other wires are grounds but controlled by the computer so won't read as grounds, key needs to be on.

If there is no 12volts then check one fuel injector(with key on), any one of these should have 12v as well, also powered by EEC relay.
If no 12v then pull EEC relay, in engine fuse box, Labelled ECM, PCM, EEC relay.
Make sure connections are clean and dry, put relay back in and have someone turn key on and off while you feel the relay, it should click.
If no click then pull out EEC relay again and then pull out Fuel Pump(FP) relay and put it in the EEC relay socket, try the key on and off, if new relay clicks replace EEC relay.

Usually it will throw a code for the crank angle sensor. CEL on?
