truck bed interchanging

Hello,

I've registered with "the ranger station" to essentially ask this one question. I got hit the other day, not too bad, but it punched a hole in the fiberglass of the bed. I was thinking just swapping out the bed would be cheaper, and I think I may have found one that works. Problem is, I drive a 98, and the other bed is from a 97. According to wikipedia, 98 was the first year of a "new" generation, though the truck beds look the same to me. Are they interchangeable? Will the 97 truck bed fit with my 98 taillights? Sorry, sounds like a stupid question, but I wouldn't even know where to go to find something like this, and don't want to go ahead and buy a truck bed that doesn't fit.

Thanks!

yes it will fit, any bed 93+

you can probably trust the poster above me, but if all else fails... measure length and width, mounting base, check bolt paterns etc.
