I would but i hate driving the ranger long distances!!!! Plus i think the fiesta is actually better offroad than my ranger... I had it airborne on some sand trails a couple weeks ago.

This thing wont make it to 50,000 miles...

I actually do wanna come though. Who's willing to let me park my car and ride the trail in their truck? I dont bathe, smoke alot, and if ohio is a carry state im bringing my guns! But I will pay for fuel and I'm an excellent cook.

I'll tell you what. My A/C doesn't work. So the windows will be open. So I can put up with a little bit of smoking. However. If you're riding with me you will be bathed voluntarily or forcefully. I'm an ex-submarine sailor and we don't put up with non-bathers. So pack the Fiesta and get your butt to Ohio. You have a seat for trail riding. Guns are ok as long as you behave and don't point them at me.

Reading back through the thread, it sounds like most anyone with an empty seat is willing to pick up a passenger.

Well it looks like I won't be making it to this event...

I've had a few irons in the fire this summer and it now seems everything is coming down to the next several weeks. It looks likely I will be closing on my pizza place the end of this month and the final nail for this trip was driven home this morning when I found out I have to fly to Florida and drive my mother back here for a couple three weeks while my sister moves to Michigan from Florida and gets settled in. My mother at 83 doesn't want to be in Florida alone... and I don't want her there alone either. Her last doctor appointment is on the 4th of September and the movers show up on the 6th of September. No wiggle room to put a camping weekend with my Ranger buddies that weekend. I'm totally bummed.

There is a plus side for me... I get to spend time with my mother. My time with her for years has been limited with the distance involved. When we get her to my sisters place back in Michigan... we are going to spend a week or two with a couple relators looking at properties to get ourselves planted on Northern Michigan soil. The fall colors should be coming on... salmon stacked in the rivers... steelhead stacked at the pierheads and archery season for whitetails opens October 1st. With any luck... I might even be able to hunt a fish a bit while looking for our new home.

I hope all of you have a safe trip... have as much fun as possible without being arrested and please post some pictures and maybe some video of the crazy stuff on the trail so the rest of us can enjoy it too.
