TRS Event TRS 2023 Fall Adventure - Land Between The Lakes

I'm old... but not as old as @Fast Eddie .

I only need 3 inches below the knee.
No. There must be a very generous "safety factor". Ankle length or you wear the tighty-whities underneath.

Ok. That video was very informative. It actually appears to be very versatile piece of clothing. I had no idea that it wasn't actually sewn into some "skirt shape".

I'm just gonna say if Uncle Gump is gonna go commando in a kilt, I'm gonna bring speedos for the rest of the group to wear at camp haha

I’d much rather be seen in a kilt than a speedo.

Years ago I saw an ad in a magazine for "Utilikilts." They're not really at all like a traditional kilt but basically man-skirts. I've always been plagued by constriction downstairs and overalls help, but these look like they would be very practical summer wear.

Just one question...

Should a kilt be worn commando?

The proper term is regimental and only you and the Mrs are supposed to know that status.

Only the Fileh Beg (small kilt) is sewn to hold the pleats in place since it is considered a more formal garment.

The great kilt was never traditionally sewn, though some have been known to have belt loops sewn in them or slashes in the fabric so a rope could be fished through for a waist tie.

They are much cooler to wear in hot weather for sure. They are usually makes out of a 50/50 cotton twill, a synthetic wool like acrylic or polyviscos, or rip stop fabric.

I’ll be wearing a kilt.

I’ll still be on orders Thursday. So I won’t be driving in until Friday. I forgot about the orders.

Don’t want to hear you complaining about mosquito bites on the sensitive bits.

Unlike Uncle Gump, I’ll be wearing under britches.
