I'm definitely coming got campsite 18 for Friday and Saturday night.

The reserved sites are for RVs, campers, etc with water and electric. Primitive camping is no reservation,

They also have a generator section for rv overflow.

That is what we did last year, just ran the gen to run the heater in the camper. No reservation, they just expand it as needed (as of last year)

I looked at the map. Site 18 is right next to the bath house.

I currently plan on getting there Thursday. If they let me, I'll try to block off the area we were in last year in primitive.

I currently plan on getting there Thursday. If they let me, I'll try to block off the area we were in last year in primitive.

Try to get an area just a little closer towards the office/entrance. The area we were in didn’t get sun in the morning until late because of the tree line. The earlier we get sun, the more time the tents will have for the morning dew to dry before we pack up.


I plan on doing the same thing I did last year...
Leave my house around 2am and arrive at 2PM Friday.

It would be nice to be closer to the bathhouse also. But the nice thing about where we were, is that there was less traffic and maybe a but more "group privacy". It might be easier to block off that back corner area again. I'll see what it looks like when I get there.

I wonder how many primitive campers we'll have. I see 11 confirmed attendees on the first page if this thread.

5 in my party, two tents.

I liked where we were. More private and less traffic and dust. I'll probably move my tent a little farther away from the tree line that was behind us.

I looked and the weather record said it dropped down to 57 at night last year. I know it was cold. I thought it go colder than that. This year it's going to drop down to 59.

I still envy the group that had the party size tent with the propane fire pit in the middle of it.
