TRS 2020 Round-Up / September 19th, 2020

Someone ate their Wheaties and drank the entire country of Columbia this morning 🤘🏿

No kids this weekend. I woke up at 6:30, laid in bed for an hour and made the wife scream.

UPDATE: I've had to change this date from 09/12 to 09/19.

Hopefully it's just the only one.

Put us down as a maybe!

Work schedule is jacked up, if I can get off, we’ll be there.

yeah, if you wipe yourself on the curtains afterwards, they tend to do that....

Big driver for me will be when Prime Day ends up.

How is everybody else coming along since are starting to get down to the wire?

I need to get the fuel tank back in mine and a bunch of little odds and ends crap.

Theoretically, i could load it in the trailer tomorrow and get on the road. The Ranger is “good enough”. But i have a few little things i want to do as time permits. I have a small gang box i want to bolt down in the bed for storing parts, fluids, tools, etc. might install a couple rock lights or fog lights or both. Need to check the e-fan wiring. I had a connector that was melting at the relay. I think i fixed that but need to give it an inspection. Need to make sure my tie-down straps are un good shape. They took a beating last year.

I have an appointment at DMV tomorrow morning to get a permanent plate for my trailer. Something got mixed up last year and I’m currently showing an expired tag.

Mines driveable. I bought some coil spring isolators I'd like to install to quiet the ride, but I'll do that later.

I like to procrastinate until the last minute... I work better under pressure.

In major defiance of my standard procrastinator ways I put the rack on my truck... I’ll put the RTT on another day.

I am ready. I have 4 new Billstiens, a new fuel filler neck and all I need to do is load up the camping gear. I do need to remount a spare tire on a different rim.... does anyone have a harbor freight tire mounting tool they can bring? most of the tire shops around here won't mount a 10 year old tire... even if it is a spare only.

They seem pretty cheap, I have been planning on picking up a couple but haven't had much reason to run out and buy them. I would kind of like to sneak up on some used ones that might be a little better quality though.

I actually have that tire iron... bought it for leverage in removing the non telescoping telescoping steering intermediate shaft... what I am talking about is the HF tire mounting system...
