troubleshooting shift motor

well... i bought a new transfer case motor... and apparently it was not the problem... what should i look at as far as troubleshooting goes? thanks...

I found some kind of control module behind the driver's seat in the pocket behind the jump seat. Mine has been replaced with a JY unit but I think the problem was in the wiring. Get out the wiring diagram and the voltmeter and start seeing where you have it and where you don't. Please keep us updated as to whet you find as I don't know if mine works or not. I have to get the truck put back together enough to check it out.
