Where would a short be located if there is one?
(Have a loose amp wire that isn't connected to anything?)
(Been messing with the wires connected to the radio)
(Have blown some fuses but the guy at autozone said that wouldn't effect it)

How much does it cost to repair a solanoid if it is indeed busted?

(this error= solenoid failure or short somewhere connecting to the solenoid)

At autozone a new solenoid cost around 11.99 it's best to try to post some pics so we can see what you're talking about.....

they told me about 80...they looking at wrong part? I was unable to find the one they showed me on my tranny...so could be- they said it would be next to the shift line that come from the steering and is attatched on the side of the tranny. Though i'm not sure how big/small it would be- if it's really tiny I have a guess where it would be.

this is the solenoid they showed me in the store.

Sorry not very good mechanic yet, this is my first car of my own.

As far as pictures I wouldn't know what to take as a picture, only thing I know for sure is the overdrive light keeps flashing and the check engine light is now usually on but came off recently and will probably come back on. Finally got it into diagnostic computer and that error showed up about the tranny solenoid.

Also I posted one time and I deleted it accidently so forgot to leave some details the second time.

no help aye?

i feel like it's a short in the shifting cable because the overdrive light only start blinking if i make a hard right turn or if i go over 40-45.

but who knows probably just buy a new solenoid, then cable and hope that fixes it.
