So my friend has a 93 ranger with the 3.0L and a 5 spd.

The problem was that his low beams stopped working ans only the hi beams would come on and only if you pulled back on the multiswitch as if flashing someone else with their brights on. The lows would come on everyonce in a while after messing with stuff but would go out again eventually. Got a new Multifunction switch and the high beams worked great.

Now I'm not sure what the problem is, he said his lights went out again, so I am assuming he meant lows and possibly highs. I haven't checked the multi switch yet but I am assuming since it hasn't been more then 2 weeks its probably somthing else... I checked the light knob and since everythign else checks out i ruled that out. i am thinking its a short somewhere? Or a fuse blew this time? Any Ideas? anyone have to deal with this before?

Pull the headlight switch out and check for burnt/melted spots in the connector.

my moms truck had that issue(93 too)
we replaced the lights switch first and then it had the issue again, like 2 months later. so we replaced the multifunction switch and it worked fine since that.
