You most likely have the m5od-r1. There is a filler plug and a drain plug on the side of the tranny. fill it with Mercon atf until it comes outs the filler hole. From memory I think it takes about 3 quarts. here is a link to the trs tech library

Yeah, Ford never put a dipstick on manual transmissions, only the autos, and not even all of them.

If you did a spill and fill it would take around 3 qts, to fill from empty it's more like 4.5.
