Well, I just went out and bought a new ride, which is good, 'cept now I wanna buy odds and ends for that, and not so much on the ranger.

Anyway, its a 96, and I was going to flip the axle, then lift the rear level with chevy lowering shackles. I have new OE hangers and the chevy shackles, and was wondering about just flipping the hangers instead.....then using the lowering shackles to lower.....any pros and cons about either? Pros I know are shackles are cheaper and easier.....hangers need replacing anyway.

And second, I read good and bad about cutting ranger coils, but was wondering if cutting stiffer F-150 coils is just as bad of an idea or not so much. I have a OE pair from my 94 with around 50k miles on them I replaced when I lifted it.

Thanks!!

Scratch the trimmed F150 coils.....looks like more hassle than needed, and right now I have about an inch between the I-beams and bumpstops.....is that right for a 167K mile 4 cyl powered ranger? Is it spring sag or is that all there is? Wouldn't a 2" drop (either new or cut coils) put that bumpstop right on the Beam?
