Trim identification

Hi guys,

Just bought my first Ranger a few days ago.

I have trouble identifying what trim it is. Maybe some of you can help me with these info.

- The serial number seemed to point to a Sport 4x4, but even with the VIN websites it's not 100% clear.
- On the back of the bed, there is only a "4x4" decal, not the "sport 4x4" one.
- It is a 4 door model with 2 back seats and one middle seat between the driver and passenger.
- Manual transmission
- No mention of XL or XLT under the "Ranger" sideplate
- No mention of FX4 anywhere on the bed or anywhere on the truck for that matter.

If anyone has clues, let me know. I'm continuing my research.

Sometimes Canada trims can be unique compared to the US too, keep that in mind.

The "trim" level would only be linked to the Serial number part of the VIN, and that would only be in Ford data base

A Ford dealer may be able to look that up, and you used to be able to get the Sell Sheet/Window sticker reprint from Ford, I think it was $20, ask the dealer, it may be cheaper now if they can just email you a copy of it
Other wise it will be just a best guess as to what you have
