tri-y's on a 4x4?

Ok here's the deal guys. I'm ordering headers this weekend and I'd like to run shelby tri-y's. However I can't seem to find through my searching if anyone has ran or attempted to run a set on a 4x4. I'm sure the info is probably hiding somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I may end up being the test dummy

So...anyone here know anything on this? I'm just worried of the front shaft possibly being in the way

They don't hang down any lower than the engine or transmission if that helps.

This is a 2wd, with a T-5 trans. Possible help with the guessing...

My crossmember is about 3" forward of the stock location.

The big washers are the end (rear) of the 2wd radius arms.

The O2 holes were drilled by me, so they won't necessarily be an issue.
I'm curious to hear the answer, it's something I hadn't thought about.

Thanks for the info guys. An I forgot all about you having run Tri-y's Teddyzee. From the pics it looks like they SHOULD work being as they hug close to the trans and don't go too far back. I love the wealth of pictures from your build! How's the coating on the headers holding up?

From what research I have done, tri-y's fit very well unless you have an AOD transmission. And yes, of course I bought tri-y's before I found this out.

Very True. However if im going to dish out the cash for coated headers id PREFER not to get to cutting and whatnot lol

Get em plain, modifiy em, then have em coated.

Mine are chrome.
Since they cannot even really be seen once they're in the truck, I have no idea how they're holding up!
But they looked good on the engine stand!

I was wondering the same thing. I have the Tri-Ys on my 94 2wd, but I have a 95 4x4 I'm starting on. Seems like most guys that do the 4x4 swap run the Exploder motor and just use the manifolds/ headers from that. Take pics when you fit them so everyone else can see.
