Hey yall,

Happened this weekend to me. My truck is primarily a weekender and took it out camping last weekend for its longest drive in about 6 months (150 miles roundtrip) I was leaving our campspot and had a real tough Bang shift from first to second. didnt think much of it but about 20 miles later noticed my rpms going a little wonkey. I parked at a gas station and went to leave and it wouldnt go into reverse. after that the gears were shifting horribly late and O/D light started flashing. I had the transmission rebuilt about 45k miles ago and havent had any other issues. Im assuming valve body replacement is neeeded as the transmission fluid was clean and had plenty in it.

Should note that i went out the next day and now its shifting into reverse and all other gears totally fine

Hows your speedometer acting?

The flashing overdrive light is basically the transmissions check engine. I dont know if it stores codes or not but it would be worth a plug in to see.

The fact its ok today seems its most likely a speed sensor or some other electrical issue over something mechanical.

Speedometer was fine and acted normal. I have a habit of removing my battery cable after drives so i dont kill the batter. Didnt occur to me that the O/D flashing would have told me the issue when reading the code (doh) I think ill have to try and get it to flash again so i can read the codes.
