I have a four1998 Ranger four wheel drive extended cab with the 3.0 V6 and automatic tranny. I was looking under it today and notice there is a electric plug not plugged in. It's hooked in with the harness with the plug that plugs it the shifter linkage. Where does it plug into and would it cause the truck to not shift into reverse?

Also, a single plug is unlikely to kill just reverse with no other symptoms.
