well as AllenD requested before i start heres the stats on the truck.
1984 Bronco II 2.8 V6 4WD Manual T case BW 13-50 and the tranny is a TK 5spd. 4 with the OD makes it a 5spd correct?
right so the issue is it works great in every gear but the OD. i will go from 4th push in clutch put it it OD let out clutch an start giving it gas and the shifter will pop right out into neutel. im not sure why its doing that as its worked before it just seemed to happen one day. when i park thought i can put it in OD and go out an push the truck an it dont move, that mean the gear is still there?:icon_confused:

it has been like this for most the while and i have just been keeping it in 4th. does that hurt anything besides my milage? any thoughts or suggestions would be appeceated.
Also on a sidenote im considering swaping from the maunal to an auto being its easier in case the GF or family has to drive the Truck. i see that i can use ether the C-5 or the A4LD. im leaning towards the C-5 as im reading that a4ld trannys well suck or work great. thoughts on that?:icon_confused:

It doesn't sound like any problem I've heard of before on a TK5 trans.

And frankly it's been six or seven years since I've seen a T-K Trans.
and more than twice that long since I actually worked on one.

But it seels like an odd symptom...

do you think it would be fine to just treat it as a 4 speed and not use the OD?
