ok, went into the dealership my truck was at over night, took the truck for a fast boot, got it doing it's thing, took the service advisor for a trip, he said hmmm, let me get the tech, the tech was an idiot, but said my clutch was f-ed, then took the service manager for a boot, he said "there's definitely something wrong" he said he couldn't take it into the shop, because it seemed like there was an install issue, and the dealership that did the second repair, would be stuck with the bill, he suggested i go back to the dealer that put the syncros in, and talk to the GM, complaining about what had happened, i did, the GM brought the service manager into the conversation, who more or less said, bring your truck in early next week, we will fix it, but if it turns out not to be a warranty issue, you, of course, will be stuck with the bill. Which i understand...
so, another development, my clutch was replaced last year, i found out i've got a 1 year 20 000km warranty on it, it expires on monday... the day before my truck goes into the shop for this issue, so if the issue is the clutch, because they refused me on wednesday, i am on the hook for a new clutch, the only thing i can think to do, is send ford's customer care center this email:
Nov. 25 2010 I brought my truck into Woodridge Ford for a problem with my manual trans, it was not shifting into first gear from neutral when hot, repairs were conducted, invoice number FCCS****** *, the same problem is currently noticed in my truck, and no improvement has been noted since the repairs were done. I arrived at Woodridge's service department Wed. Mar. 16th to attempt to get this problem repaired, the Shop Foreman refused to accept my vehicle, claiming that my problem was imaginary, that i "beat the crap out of my truck on a regular basis" and "he wasn't going to risk his job on my truck AGAIN" stating that the only way my truck was going to enter his shop, was if he had a signed credit slip so that i could be charged the cost of repairs, when he opened it and found no problems, as he had already replaced all of the parts inside the transmission. He claimed that all vehicles are hard to get into gear from time to time and i should "get over it". his demeanor was very disrespectful, and dismissive, I don't believe that Ford wishes this be the face of the company.
Today Mar. 18th 2010, I spoke with the General Manager of Woodridge Ford, Travis Eade, who invited the Service Manager Jeff Hantos, to our conversation, both of which were very accommodating, and stated that they would do everything they could to fix my truck, and asked me to bring my truck in next week to be repaired.
Previously, my "clutch gear set" was replaced by Maclin Ford, on Mar. 21 2010 at approximately 77,000km, the clutch is under warranty for another 3 days, the earliest Woodridge can get my vehicle in is Tues. Mar. 22nd 2010, the day after my warranty expires, if it was accepted in, on Wed. Mar. 16th 2010, or fixed thoroughly on the first visit for this issue, my clutch would still be under warranty, and would not be my responsibility to replace, if it is found to be causing these issues.
please allow my truck to be covered by all current, or recently expired warranties.
additionally, my truck right now, is all stock, but with a 3" body lift, the shop foreman, and the first service manager (who suggested i talk to the GM) said that ford could refuse a warranty claim because of the body lift. The problem is in canada, the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, does not exist, though i could push canada's "Common-Law" which essentially makes things that are common practice a law, because the MMWA law is in the states, it could kind of carry over the border, because it's common practice...
ironic part, if i were to drive down to Montana and get my truck fixed down there, they wouldn't void my warranty, but i would be over on mileage most likely...
also, everyone i spoke with today, stated that for warranty purposes, it makes no difference the mileage at which you make a complaint, if you roll over before it's fixed, you have no warranty... so because i was in on wednesday, and they refused to fix it, and now monday, my warranty is up, that's too bad... though what i could do, is go in on monday morning for an oil change, and have it all put on the same work order... that way the work order is open when the warranty is still valid...
new development i found today, while it's not going into first, if i am in 4L and try to put it into first, the truck rolls forward slightly...
