Transmission swap 94 ranger

I have a 2wd ranger with the 2.3 motor.
Having some transmission woes. I am hoping when i drop it that i just need a clutch or throwout bearing.
But if not i was wondering if i could use a mustang 5 speed in it since my brother in law has tons of them.

It won't be bolt up, but the T-5 is popular with the turbo 2.3L swappers. It has been done before.
