Transmission help asap!!

I am getting a m5od-r2 transmission for my 5.0 and am wondering if my transfer case on my stock r1 will work or will I need to use a different transfer case???

You would need to use a 4406 transfer case, a manual shift would be best
Your '99 should have the 1354 which won't fit the R2, I think Advanced Auto used to make an adapter but most people wanted the heavier duty 4406 with a V8.

You do need an R2 from a 4x4 so it will have correct tail shaft for transfer case, or better yet get trans and transfer case from same vehicle, '97-'03 F-150 with 4.2l V6 will fit 5.0l(302) bolt pattern, and has the shifter located farther back so close to R1 location now
