i work at valvoline btu have never tried it, i have 262000 on my bronco, with a replaced tranny in 2003. well it was running wierd. shifting wierd. starting to get worse. i did a transmission fluid flush today put all new fluid in and i swear it worked magic. no hard shifting. shifts at the right time. no loss of momentum. its all good. that was the best 60 bucks i spent in a while.

Do the Valvoline shops flush by the cooler lines or through the dipstick tube? Also, do they let you choose which fluid to use? In other words, if I told them to use this fluid (it is Valvoline, after all) would they use that for me, or do they only use a "one size fits all" fluid? I've been considering my local Valvoline shop for a trans flush, but I wanted to know the answers to those questions first.

they flush it ither through the cooler lines or through the dip stick. dipstick is wayy easier. but it gets 99% of all the fluid. through the cooler lines and all. we have a max atf and a regular atf. our atf meets the requirments of all vehichles except for some hondas and acuras.
