I don't feel like findin out the hard way
how many quarts of trans fluid will my truck hold

Google. I don't feel like giving the easy way.

Is it right empty or did you just drop the pan/change the filter?

your owners manual will tell you how many it will hold if you do a complete flush and if you do just a filter change. it's probably around 10 quarts for a flush and 5 or 6 for the filter change only

First of all: automatic or manual transmission?

Manual: about 2.5 quarts
Automatic: pan drop/refill is about 4 quarts, full flush (total capacity) is 10 quarts
