Well Im in a pickle for a desission to make. My local JY had a 4 speed tranny, T18 with np208, in an 80's f150 and I told them I wanted it. Well called them up and turns out that the bellhousing was broken on it and so was a collar. They have a few f250's out there with the 351 under the hood and the trannies behind those are 5 speed and have a transfercase that involves me pushing the knob down before shifting into 4lo. Anybody know what kind of transfercase this is? The truck looks to be from the 90's. I know that a 351 bellhousing has athe same pattern as a 302 and all it would take to make it work would be to get the proper clutch and flywheel for the type of 302 I have. Above all I just want to stay with a hydrolic clutch. Im told it could be a BW1356 and for those to fit between the frame rails, I would have to notch the frame a bit to get it to fit. For the price though, its kinda hard to pass up, $250 that is. I really want a 5 speed to help with gas too.
