I've been having transmission fluid dripping on the garage floor for some time now. It isn't very much and I only have to add fluid every three months or so. It looks like it may be coming from where the lines connect to the tranny. Does anyone have any good advice. First I will try to tighten the connections but if they are tight, I will replace them

If you have never replaced the o rings you might want to do so.

I just finished replacing my A4ld today. took 3 days due to hiccups and other things that had to be fixed in the process. One of the lines had a rust spot that we ruptured when pushing lines out of the way :annoyed::mad: with we didn't realize untill we had everything buttoned up and the truck started and had to remove it with only a few inches of wiggle room :pissedoff:. I hate how tightly they stuff things in. 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bucket. My o rings were so cruched in that ya couldnt tell they were there so we also put some in. that fixed it.

Thanks guys for the tips. I have priced the connectors and they arent very expensive but they didn't say if new O rings come with them. I'll check to see if the O rings can be purchased separately. I noted on another forum that someone had repaired a cracked line by using a rubber tube and clamps. I don't favor doing that.

It works fine. Mine is like this. You just have to make sure you use transmission cooler line hose. From what I understand, Regular hose either wont handle the pressure or will be eatten by the fluid....Sometimes both.

My previous owner didnt use the right kind and it ate itself. With the correct stuff on it, it's been fine.

Thanks. I found two different temperature grades. One was rated 400 degrees and the other 300 degrees.
