transmission bolt number

my m50d manual trans has 6 bolts plus the 3 for the starter, 13mm heads if im not mistaken. pull the 3 for the starter, the crossmember, the 4 13mm 12 point bolts for the driveshaft. you then have 2 bolts on top of the trans, 2 on the bottom of the trans (from trans to engine side) and 1 on either side, from the engine bolting into the transmission. easiest way to get to the top 2 trans bolts is have the shifter/boots removed and the crossmember dropped to tilt the tranny. this way you can reach thru the top with extensions and a breaker bar thru the shifter hole in the floorboard. speedo cable is 10mm if im not mistaken. clutch line push the line in, take a screwdriver and push the white plastic tab into the trans (its a quick disconnect fitting) and pull (use moderate force) the line out. it will not lose any fluid. i bought my truck with a busted trans, pulled it, pulled one out of a truck at the picknpull, then put i the picknpull trans in the truck. basically i pulled 2 transmissions to install one, if you have any questions ill gladly help you.

That should do it, i appreciate man. just really gettin an idea how to get to the top bolts( have to change clutch this weekend) your sayin you went through the manual stick hole correct? or from underneath with extentions on the wrench?....

driveshaft is 12mm 12pt

when I remove my tranny or engine I use a 13mm wrench from the top or bottom depending on the bolts, the top passenger bolt will probably be "fun" if you have air conditioning, but not too bad without, you can't see the bolts but they are bot doable from the top...

I am not having any luck with these two bolts, driving me crazy. going to try letting the tranny down and see if that works.

that should help some, I've only had luck with wrenches or about 3' of extensions from the back, ratchet wrenches make it much nicer than regular wrenches.
