I was wondering what was invovled in switching my 94 ranger 4x4 from push button to mechanical transfer case?

not much just get a manual transfer case the same number thats on yours 1350 or 1354 get a shift linkage and cut a hole

thats it I thought I would have to switch my hubs to I dont no much about the 4x4 but mine now is push button and it doesnt work i push the button and nothing happens any ideas

the electric motor on the back of the transfer case and do you have auto or manual hubs

in that case you will have to hook up your vaccum lines my opinion is if you have the money swap to manual hubs it will be easier but thats my opinion

There are no vacuum lines on the 94's auto hubs. Just run 'em 'til they blow, THEN switch them over to Warn manual hubs. The auto hubs will work just the same with a manual t-case as they do with your electric one.

^^ to bad hes a 97 and no vacuum. i did this swap on my 94 took me about 4 hours to do the swap pretty much alone. as for hubs order up a set of warn manual hubs with a conversion kit. pm with questions man

It's easy. Only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get the 4X4 light to work.

search someone on here did it in a 94 i just havent dont it yet
