hello im new to TRS. I have an 03 Ranger Fx4 and I cant figure out what is wrong with my 4x4. A year ago i tore the boot of the halfshaft, where the bearings are located, while offroading. So i took the halfshaft off. i drove it about 2 months without the shaft and kept in the garage. A couple days ago i drove it with the halfshaft off, i got a new boot put the ball bearings in place and replaced my halfshaft. before doing so i rotated the free T-case wheel and it spun freely. thinking it felt fine. i also noticed a slight leak on the T-case. After putting the halfshaft on I drive forward about 2 feet and the T-Case gives a loud snap/grinding noise and it continues doing so for every 2 feet. i took it off rechecked the bearings (on the halfshaft), spun the T-case wheel (it was free,no snaps) and replaced it. I get the same results. keeps snapping. I moved it 15 feet back and 15 forward tried the 4low(the noise was quieter but still snapped) and 4hi same result. Any help?
